We successfully re-launched our New Day Grant program in 2021, (after having it tabled during the COVID shutdown), and provided over $2500 in grants for furniture and household goods to domestic violence survivors. The grant, developed in partnership with the Columbia County Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Hudson NY provides funding of up to $500 for home furnishings to recovering domestic violence victims in Columbia/Greene County to help survivors settle in their new homes. The recipients come from shelters, halfway houses or rehabilitation programs and are moving back into the community.
The ReStore has a great variety of furniture and household goods at reasonable prices and the staff helps our grantees stretch their grants to get the best values. |

We believe that no wounding is beyond God’s power to heal. Our job is to make God’s healing available to all who hurt.
